Statewide Read-In Rally to Celebrate Libraries on September 20

On Saturday, September 20, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm,

libraries across Minnesota will host The Great North Star Read Together

a statewide celebration of the heart of every community: our libraries.

All you are asked to do is drop in and read to show that Minnesotans are library supporters! Whether it’s five minutes or the full two hours, readers are encouraged to bring a book, grab a chair, and help shine a spotlight on the vital roles libraries play in our lives.

Why? Because libraries are more than buildings and bestsellers. They’re gathering spots, learning hubs for everyone, safe spaces, and cornerstones for informed, thriving communities.

This statewide ‘read-in is a joyful way to show that we see—and need—our libraries.
